If you check your baby stroller at the gate it is considered by the Airline to be Limited Liability as far as them paying for any damage it may sustain . this is because it is being checked without any protection packaging.
However those Tags they put on the stroller have a place at the back of them for you to sign acknowledging this.
Very rarely are passengers asked to sign this and therefore if you did not sign you are entitled to full reimbursement of any repairs or a replacement.
